How to Make ANY Song ANY Length - Adobe Premiere Pro Tutorial

Hey y’all, today I’m going to show you this amazing tool in Premiere called the remix tool. It can make any song, any length.

Yeah.

I know.

Let me be clear, this tool is not new.

It is, however, really cool. Basically what it allows you to do is take any music track and change the length, both longer and shorter, and premiere does the work remixing the track for you.

It’s amazing.

So I have Premiere open and you have a video, but the music track you’ve picked isn’t long enough, here’s what you do. Drag it down to the timeline. You can see that the music ends at 2 mins, but I want music underneath my entire video and it is 11 mins.

Go over to the toolbar and click and hold on the ripple edit tool. This shows all the tools hiding underneath it, and you want to choose the remix tool. Go back to the timeline and click and drag the end of the song all the way down the timeline.

You’ll see the clip analysis open. It does its thing, and when it’s done, you can see where Premiere spliced the song together down the timeline.

Gone are the days where you are sitting with your noise canceling headphones on, trying to find a good beat at the end and the beginning of the song and adding a cross fade and hoping no one has their volume up too loud to notice. Seriously, the cuts are good and it took a fraction of the time.

Now you can make adjustments - go to the settings of the remix and open up Customize. Here you can make changes to say the segments - this will change how many cuts there are in the remix on the timeline.

Or what about when you have a shorter moment, like some b roll but your song is too long? Just use the remix tool to shorten the song instead of dragging it out longer.

How many times have you gone to your music track, found a decent cut point, made the cut, then lined up the clips and cross faded between the 2, and then done that over and over again because you want some chill music to loop behind whatever it is you are editing? Now you can just use this crazy tool.
